Vino!! Wine Shop is a family owned business that decided to open in 2012 by family members Anna Lange, Carolyn Kizer, and Ascary Arias because they felt the residents of Pittsboro needed a place to buy quality, boutique, artisanal wines!

Thankfully, Vino is still proudly here today, thanks to all their fabulous customers, providing Pittsboro with refuge for wine fanatics to taste, drink, discuss, and share experiences with a delicious bottle of wine.

Anna runs the business now, striving everyday to continue to bring great wine and fun wine events to all Vino’s clientele. Vino has expanded beyond a wine shop, to selling wine, beer and wine cocktails by the glass, cigars, and nibbles, as well as offering fun monthly wine events.

Anna Lange

Anna grew up working in the retail and customer service business in Chapel Hill during her high school and collegiate schooling, where her love and experience with wine began. She came from a large family, the youngest of five girls, that also shared in her love for food and wine.

After graduating from Campbell Law School, Anna left the wine and food world behind, practicing commercial business litigation in Raleigh for four years. However, she never lost her love for wine, as she always delved into learning more about wine when she could.

Anna soon discovered that law wasn’t the path suited for her and she jumped on the opportunity to open a wine shop in Pittsboro. Indeed, her oldest sister Liz (married to Ascary Arias), also a huge wine afficionado, conceived the idea of the shop and convinced Anna to change her career to wine. Anna recruited her mother, Carolyn Kizer, and her brother-in-law, Ascary, and the rest is history!
