Our next Wine Education 101 Seminar ~ BURGUNDY, FRANCE ~ is Wednesday, June 24, from 6-7 PM. Level II Sommelier Dom Decastro of Winebow will be back in the shop exploring the renown region of Burgundy.
A lot of consumers are intimidated by French wines - from their hard to read labels to the complex French wine classification system - and in particular, by the historic and renown wine region of Burgundy, France. Burgundy is known for producing world class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. This seminar will provide an introduction to the region and help participants gain a working knowledge of the geography of Burgundy, the different sub-regions within the region, and the overarching rules that apply to each in order to increase the average consumer's knowledge of Burgundian wine. And of course, we are going to taste the wine!
The cost of this seminar will be different than others. In order to keep the cost down (as wines from Burgundy are expensive), there will be no pre-selected bottle to take home. Cost per person will be $20.
